Picture of Simon Johns   Caroline Seear the CEO of The Red Group would like to announce that Simon Johns has been appointed the role of Managing
Director. Simon joined Red Recruit as the Sales Director in 2015 bringing with him over 20 years' experience in Relocation and
Global Mobility. Previously Simon had been Sales Director at Pickfords Moving and Storage.

Red was founded by Caroline Seear in 2002 and since then seen rapid expansion. Caroline is proud of her determination and hard
work in the early years and states, “When I first started the company my son had just been born and looking back I don’t know how
I coped on my own, having two children in school and a baby, but I did”

Red started out in humble surroundings in Caroline’s spare room moving later into an office within a warehouse. Red Group now has offices worldwide and their HQ is based in Witham, Essex.

“We have evolved and grown so much in 14 years and I’m ready to hand the reigns to someone with the drive, personality and passion I possess hence why I’m really excited by that Simon has joined Red. He is driven and highly motivated with exceptional flair for management. I will be focusing on growing our other divisions into stand alone companies and steering strategy.”

Simon adds “These are very exciting times, both personally and for the Red Group and I’m delighted to be part of this and to help the group grow into a leading global recruiter”.

“Caroline has always been highly determined to succeed and has always had vision; I knew that the moment we met 14 years ago. Throughout my career I have always worked with Red Group and I must stress it was always about service, delivery and what the client wanted, this was what impressed me”

When asked what the reason for starting the company, Caroline stated “I founded Red Recruit in 2002 with two ideas in mind. The first to provide a service which, built upon transparency, would benefit both the clients and candidates mutually. The second to maintain with vigour an ethical business practice, taking in to hand the needs of those we go into business with. Having developed a consultancy and built a reputation in recruitment, we at Red Recruit have diversified and opened further businesses so we can share our knowledge throughout the market. We understand that prosperity comes not through expanding our industry but the industry of our clients.”

As Red Group has grown, so has the management team, some of whom have been working for Red for a number of years.

One of Reds first employees Amie Cutts started as a Trainee and is now a Manager of one of our divisions. Amie adds “Simon was one of my clients back when we first started growing and we are so glad that he has come on board, he is bringing a lot to the company”

Asked what the long term plans were, Caroline replied “We are always looking to extend and diversify the services we currently provide, whilst maintaining the level of care we have always sought to operate at.”

“We have 3 main areas of growth planned for this year , Red Security, Red FM and Red Recruit Global, as these areas have been popular with an array of clients from all over the world. Here at Red we are looking into methods that will help us expand and develop them into individual companies.

“Simon’s appointment to MD is the first move in a long term plan to ensure that we are able to exceed expectations and provide a service beneficial to the businesses we work with and the communities they support. This I think reflects one of Red’s core attitudes, in an industry that is constantly shifting, we are comfortable with change and excited for what the future of Global Relocation and Logistics may hold.”
